Alexander Braun is Assistant Professor of Risk Management and Member of the Executive Board at the Institute of Insurance Economics of the University of St. Gallen. His research and teaching activities focus on alternative risk transfer, insurance-linked securities, financial regulation, and InsuranceTech. Hato Schmeiser studied business administration at the University of Mannheim. After his doc­toral degree and postdoctoral lecture qualification (Habilita­tion) in 2003 (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin), he was appointed Professor for Insur­ance and Risk Management at the University of Münster. Since 2005 he has been Chair for Risk Management and Insurance and Managing Director of the Institute of Insurance Eco­nomics at the University of St. Gallen. Joël Wagner is a Full Professor in the Department of Actuarial Science at the HEC Faculty of the University of Lausanne specializing in Risk and Insurance Management. Previously he was with the University of St. Gallen and a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.
